In July 2024, Mr. Hirschfelder taught a class at the nationwide Piano Technicians Guild Convention in Reno, NV. The convention is a gathering of piano technicians from all over the country (and sometimes the world) where they get together to teach and learn new piano technology and techniques.
Mr. Hirschfelder’s class was on appraisal work and how to work with insurance companies when dealing with piano catastrophes.
